Macee McCunn creates sculptural metal jewelry and sculpture utilizing primarily forging and metalsmithing techniques. Her jewelry has an antiqued textural appearance sometimes industrial and other times organic in items made of silver, gold, brass, copper, mild steel and even found objects. A lot of her inspiration is from nature (i.e. twigs, fungus, pods, insects) or old industrial objects. Macee’s degree is from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Living in Maryland, she completed or taught jewelry classes independently or at Frostburg State University, Touchstone Center for Crafts and the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsman. She is a long standing, professional, award-winning jeweler and sculptor.
